Console table makeover {DIY}

{console table makeover}

This is a project that I have been working on since the fall that I completed over the holiday break with my Dad's help.

I bought the table from Craigslist, which worked very well for this project. I knew I wanted something I could paint, so a used piece of furniture was the way to go.

Here is the before. Lovely, isn't it? I repainted and updated the hardware.

I used the color Mountain Haze by Behr with a coat of primer spray painted before. I also did some light sanding, but truth be told, I am a lazy painter and do not do sanding between coats like what is commonly recommended. It seems to work out well for me!

The color seems greener in this picture than it is in person. It is a nice blue/green color with more of a cool undertone than the picture shows.

I bought the gold hardware online from Myknobs.com, which was very reasonably price and arrived quickly! I ran into issues with the previous hardware because the screws became stripped, which is where my Dad entered the picture to help. He removed the old hardware and installed the new!

Here is the table made over and styled! :-)
Most of these items I already had collected. The two larger frames are from Marshalls and the smaller frame was a gift. The lamp was also from Marshalls as well as the glass hurricane for the peonies, which I bough at Hobby Lobby. The small goldish candle is actually also a makeover project that I did back in December. I had two red candle holders from Pier 1 many years ago and since I am going with more neutral these days {and always love a good reason to spray paint}, I made them over.

And here's a close up picture of the lamp! I was so excited when I found this lamp because it reminded me of something I loved from Pottery Barn, but a fraction of the price. If you want to know more, you can check out the post I did here
